"Two hours ago, the Pondicherry Police showed up at my family’s home and subjected them to all kinds of questioning. Why this harassment? Who ordered this and for what purpose?"
Das linked the visit to his CJP activities and alleged it occurred at the behest of the Union government, noting Amit Shah's recent presence in Puducherry meeting local officials.
Police Response
Senior officials confirmed a visit occurred but described it as routine security verification of residents near important routes ahead of Independence Day. They rejected claims of targeted harassment or political intent.
