Silent Nationwide Symbol of Unity and Protest Declared
As evening fell on July 21, 2026, the central coordinating committee of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), alongside major national student unions, issued a joint press declaration declaring Wednesday, July 22, 2026, as nationwide "Black Armband Day".
Scope of the Action
The call urges high school students, university undergraduates, medical aspirants, and faculty members across India to wear black cloth armbands or ribbons during their regular academic routines and campus visits.
- Non-Disruptive Solidarity: The initiative is designed to allow millions of students who cannot travel to New Delhi to register their dissent without boycotting essential academic lectures or clinical postings.
- Participating Hubs: Regional volunteer chapters in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Patna, and Jaipur have confirmed active mobilization across over 150 university campuses.
Official Message from CJP Leadership
In a joint statement released at 5:00 PM on July 21:
"On July 22, let every classroom and campus in India wear black. We wear it not in defeat, but in absolute solidarity with our brothers and sisters who were tear-gassed and injured on July 20. Our silence will speak louder than police sirens."
