Delhi Concert Remarks Address June Exchange
During the Aura India Tour concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30, Diljit Dosanjh addressed earlier comments on CJP-linked protests.
Stage Statement
- Told audience: "I love all of you because I am an artist, bro. I am being quiet, so let me stay quiet. I support all of you. But don’t teach Punjabis how to fight."
- Referenced film Satluj on Jaswant Singh Khalra: "The film you are making fun of on stage... we fought for that film for a long time."
- Concert featured laser displays reading "Main Hoon Punjab" and "I'm an artist."
"Punjabion ko naa sikhaao kaise ladayiaan ladi jaati hain."
Dipke Response on Instagram
Abhijeet Dipke posted an open note titled to Diljit Paaji:
- Recalled June hurt over the "artist, not politician" remark during NEET paper-leak protests.
- Stated admiration remains unchanged; attended Chicago concert in May.
- Closed: "Baaki paaji, chhota bhai samajh ke mitti pao." and song line "Gabru ta vairi nu vi mitha bolda..."
Context
Exchange traces to June Instagram Live where Diljit requested distance from CJP Jantar Mantar protests over exam irregularities. Dipke had later referenced the remark publicly.
CJP has separately called for public participation in the November 1 Ramleela March.
