Police Block CJP Assam Volunteer Assembly
Assam Police detained Cockroach Janta Party co-convener Ashutosh Ranka and accompanying members in Guwahati on 27 September before a scheduled volunteer meet.
Dipke stated the team was being taken to an unknown location. Local channel DY365 reported supporters stopped on the way to the venue and dozens held near Dispur secretariat.
