CJP Leadership Addresses Safety and Dignity of Female Volunteers
On July 21, 2026, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke released a formal video broadcast on his official X handle (@abhijeetdipke), addressing the violent events of the July 20 march and issuing a heartfelt apology to female student demonstrators.
Addressing Police High-Handedness
During the barricade push on July 20 near Patel Chowk, several female students from Delhi University, Jadavpur University, and regional colleges were caught in police lathi-charges and pushed by male security personnel due to an insufficient deployment of female police officers.
In his video address, Dipke visibly moved, stated:
"To every sister and female student who came to Delhi believing in this movement and faced physical pushback, rough handling, or injuries yesterday—I tender my unreserved apology as an organizer. You came to defend your future, not to be battered on the streets. We failed to anticipate the extent of police force, and we take full responsibility."
New Safety Protocols for Demonstrations
Dipke announced that effective immediately, CJP is instituting strict structural changes for all upcoming assemblies:
- Female Security Squads: Creation of dedicated 50-member female volunteer security cordons at all protest frontlines.
- De-escalation First: Immediate de-escalation protocols to halt any forward march if security forces deploy physical force against women or minor students.
- Legal Redressal: Submission of video footage of police misconduct involving female students to the National Commission for Women (NCW).
